my opinion to fans who leave fandoms...

Hi, earlier my friend showed me a status of her friend regarding EXO, and why some fans leave the fandom...

HERE'S MY TAKE. PLEASE HEAR ME OUT.

As you can see I am a fan of like 2 big fandoms, the 1D Family and of course EXO-L. Here's my take...

As a fan, you have to understand that there are boundaries in fame. I am, one not a fan who always craves for my idols update with their private life, unless its work related or something that they really needed to share online or feel like sharing. The fan stated that EXO kept their fans waiting for something and that they would only update when they have to promote something for their songs or work or something like that. I mean isn't that what singers sell? The things they promote? I mean why else would they be singers and not sell what they are about to release or show in the near future? I mean that is normal. And the fact that the girl said that just because they are "famous" they have this attitude where they would just promote when needed, updated when needed... Guess what? They have the right to do that, and its their choice if they want to share their public life to their fans, its their choice if they want to show us what they do in their private life. I mean we can look at Chanyeol and Baekhyun, they post stuff on instagram out of nowhere just because they feel like it. Sehun does that too! And the other members do it as well even if they do promote a little bit, posting a selca and leaving a message on the offical fan club site is also sharing a little bit of their time and privacy. We all know that being an artist is not easy and as a fan we should not ask for more than what we receive. Yes we will keep on waiting, but isn't that what makes us crave for them more? Don't you want to miss them to? I mean they should not always show you everything. What is the thrill in that? You also have to think of the most important part of this post, THEY ARE ONLY HUMAN. They are just like you and me. They are artist but they also want a piece of privacy in their life and if they want to keep it that way, who are we to judge them?

As a fan, yeah it is our choice if we are patient enough to wait for them, it will show your dedication and love for the group that you have been supporting since they started. This waiting game places your fandom heart to the test, this will prove if you are really a fan and if you really adore the group that you support. I am one patient enough to wait for One Direction's come back, and I am also excited for the solo stuff that they are releasing. Same goes with EXO, as long as they are happy and I know that they are resting and just relaxing I am happy. I don't see anything wrong with that, they don't have to update me all the time. I respect their privacy and I am not that needy of a fan. I don't need a 24/7 update but that would not be bad as well. If they don't feel like dropping by and saying hi in just one post you got it all wrong. Maybe they were just not in the mood, we don't know what its like to be them, we have to understand that being under the spotlight gives them a lot of pressure and they need to have break from that too. Being private and not greeting the fans is not wrong if they have been doing it for almost everyday of their lives. Let them breath, you have to understand that they are trying to be normal even if it is impossible.

IF THAT IS THE REASON THAT YOU ARE LEAVING THE FANDOM THAT YOU ARE AT OR UNSTANNING A CERTAIN GROUP, I CAN GUARANTEE YOU ONE THING. YOU ARE NOT A HARDCORE FAN WHO IS DEDICATED ENOUGH TO UNDERSTAND THEIR SITUATION.

THE FANDOM DOES NOT NEED YOU THE DOOR IS WIDE OPEN YOU CAN LEAVE AND THERE IS MORE FOR US LOYAL FANS. I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU SAY YOU CAN GO FIND ANOTHER GROUP AND BE THIRSTY TO LOOK FOR ATTENTION SINCE YOU HAVE NO SENSE IN LIFE AND YOU DON'T VALUE YOUR IDOLS PRIVACY GOOD LUCK!
